As the Country Head for the UK Government’s flagship scholarship Chevening, I am responsible for the programme in India and Bhutan. My role includes programme management, leadership, resource mobilization, working with the government, industry and university partners, stakeholder management, outreach and capacity building. I have expanded the socio-economic and geographical outreach through the programmes we deliver, helping build leadership capacity of NextGen belonging to tier2/3/4 cities and marginalized sections. Numerous projects for women in STEM, politics and entrepreneurship have been delivered successfully with the help of a brilliant network across India. In recent years new partnerships with the industry and state governments have enabled the programme to grow further. The role involves extensive networking and relationship building with like-minded individuals in politics, government, think tanks, media, industry, academics and the civil society.
