I'm a little late in getting to this, but..... I've retired. I always said that I would retire at 70. It ended up being 71 and the year 2012. As long as there was interesting and challenging work, I hated to stop working in the tile, stone and bath industry that I love. However, life had another challenge in store for me. Mid-way through 2012 I was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. My treatment was successful and I am in full remission and back to an entirely normal life. Yes, that means continuing to compete in rowing. Retirement now has an entirely different meaning for me. No longer a loss of the challenge and energy of my work at Sunny McLean & Co., but a refocusing of goals and time management. It's great and I am enjoying every minute of it! If you are ever in the Miami area, contact me and come say "hello". I sold the last of The Basics books recently, so they are no longer available. My other book, Information Fast & Easy, still lives in my computer, but was never published. I enjoyed writing both books and am still of the opinion that the tile and stone business world does not have comprehensive and efficient learning and reference materials. This is what it WAS all about:Sunny McLean & Company is all about sales: how to make product knowledge easier, how to make the selling process easier and how to make the customer happier.
