Created, organized and led field research in the USVI and BVI in collaboration with U.S. (USGS & NPS) and British government researchers off the 94-foot schooner, Tabor Boy. Research focused on coral reefs, REEF fish censuses, detailed biological assessment of BVI waters, and hawksbill sea turtles in St. Croix. Discoveries and findings were incorporated in U.S. government peer-reviewed science publications.

Conducted original research of estuarine and pelagic marine turtles, and created a national model for integrating science research into the classroom. Researched and analyzed sea turtle strandings in New England.
