      The mission of Albuquerque Biological Park Education is to promote conservation. We strive to teach about the diversity and interdependence of life and inspire a sense of stewardship for the earth. In support of this mission, the BioVan and Rio Ranger programs introduce elementary students to the biological diversity of the Rio Grande, create an awareness of the connections between living things and encourage actions that protect the Rio Grande ecosystem. The BioVan uses both the arts and sciences to accomplish this. The BioVan Teaching Artist is responsible for the arts component of the BioVan outreach and Rio Ranger programs. The Teaching Artist also assists with the science components of the program.
