    Started a free distribution weekly newspaper in Hackensack, Ridgefield Park and Bogota, New Jersey. We found that there was a large amount of desire for local news not covered by the large daily newspapers. We supplied it to the local people, and they loved it. In 1979 we purchased a nearby paid circulation weekly newspaper called the Bergen Times.In 1992, I entered into a joint venture with the NJ Nets NBA team and started the NJ Nets monthly Newspaper called The Spectater that published monthly and was distributed throughout New Jersey and to ticketholders. It went so well that we went on to secure contracts with the Knicks, 76ers, Celtics and the eventually produced the NBA TODAY nationally. A few monthly later we took over the production of the New York Magazine.A few years later after hearing about a whole new idea, we built the first 10 Minute Oil Change company in New Jersey. We built three. One in Paterson, NJ, one in Hawthorne, NJ and one in Newark.I sold them in 1994 and retired to Boca Raton.Retirement didn't last long so along with my wife and sons we started and developed a national beverage company called Steve's Frozen Chillers, a frozen drink company which had customers in almost every state in the country. In 2013, I had the honor of addressing the graduating class of their Lynn University's prestigious business school.Sold Steve's Frozen Chillers, Inc. in 2021.
