    Becoming a part of the Heartspring team was a natural next step in my career in fundraising, event planning and development. I find great joy in helping connect supporters to their passion and because of that, my work has been mission driven for over thirteen years. I continue to find myself in positions of process creation, strategic plan implementation and business development. My accolades include leading the most recent fundraising efforts for the Expanding Possibilities Campus Expansion project raising over $1.5M. As a member of the Heartspring leadership team, I look to bring enthusiasm and supportive energy to the relational and philanthropic efforts. I have the privilege of leading an incredibly talented team of who work in the following roles; special events coordinator, grants manager, database manager, annual giving officer and administrative assistant/volunteer coordinator. I strive to improve my community in my personal life, as well. I have volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and was part of the inaugural Salvation Army Young Professionals Advisory Board, where I held the title of chairperson. I am currently the FRG Leader for Charlie Company of the 2/137 Infantry Regiment, a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Wichita, and actively involved with many community efforts in the city of Maize with my most prized being the installation of Paxton’s Blessing Box located at Moxi Junction.

    As the Leadership Annual Giving Officer, I work as a member of the Annual Fund team. The LAG Officer specifically qualifies, cultivates and solicits Wichita State alumni to raise unrestricted leadership annual gifts to fund core university priorities, devises and implements cultivation and solicitation strategies and meets activity and revenue goals, and develops and implements retention strategies. Our goal is to initiate and maintain contact to further enhance the relationship between donors and Wichita State.

    The WSU Foundation designs and implements events with an emphasis on donor recognition and stewardship. Event formats include dinners, luncheons, breakfasts, ribbon cuttings, open houses, and scholarship appreciation events. Our guest lists are comprised of donors of varied giving levels, University faculty and staff, local and state elected officials and students. As the Director of Special Events I oversaw the planning and implementation for events both on and off campus. I was responsible for creating and managing event timelines and guest lists, reserving venues, creating menus, booking entertainment and designing room decor.

    My role at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sedgwick County was to coordinate and implement annual fund raising events as well as volunteer stewardship events to support the mission of the organization, providing children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Events included the Bowl for Kids' Sake Campaign, Red, White, & Blues, Brew Ha-Ha, volunteer service awards, private donor functions, and anniversary celebrations.
