Through consistent advocacy and collaboration with Montgomery County Public Schools, Staci has raised awareness of the need for better professional development and educational resources that target the needs and strengths of autistic students. Through regular meetings, xMinds engages families, professionals, and educators to understand the characteristics of autism as they impact learning and functioning in school environments, to exchange ideas, and to solve problems with a focus on creating positive educational experiences for our students.As principal spokesperson and respresentative to Montgomery County Public School administrators and community stakeholders, advocate for awareness, professional development, and services to improve the educational experiences and outcomes of students on the autism spectrum. Provide leadership to the Board of Directors in developing organizational priorities, annual budget, and programming. Provide testimony on state legislation that affects the FAPE of students with disabilities in the state of Maryland. Responsible for communication strategy, including the graphic identity for all materials and website; the content for much of the website; contributing to social media sites including Facebook and Twitter; and two monthly newsletters and email blasts as needed. Through surveys of stakeholders, identify topics of importance to parents and educators, and schedule speakers for monthly meetings. Manage membership solicitations and renewals, and write annual fundraising appeal
