    During 1992 I was employed as a Chemical Engineering Technician trainee. This was part of my practical experience requirements to obtain my diploma at Cape Town Technicon.In 1993 I was offered a permanent position as Process Engineer/Project Manager and accepted. For the following five years I was responsible for process design, project management and on-site construction supervision for various projects in the food and beverage industry.In 1999 I acquired shares in the company and became a director. My new focus was the implementation of an intelligent integrated 3D CAD design office.In 2001 Solutions Technology was awarded the very prestigious People's Bank Sunday Times SME Award for Technology Excellence (Top 100 Technology Award) - Services Category. The company won the award for the integration and visualization of our 3D CAD systems in the execution and project management of our projects. In the same year we were awarded the Bentley Systems South Africa best Plant Software Utilisation Award.My key responsibilities were to develop systems and to implement and manage the said to ensure a comprehensive 3D, “intelligent” Computer Aided Draughting office. The draughting office outputs included:- Intelligent Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's).- Intelligent Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's).- 2D and 3D plant layouts including equipment, civil, structural and electrical requirements.- 3D piping layouts, including clash detection, automatic isometric generation and material take-off’s.- Interactive 3-D model review, virtual reality plant models and "interactive walk through the plant".Reason for Leaving: Start 3DDraughting
