    Since April 2020, the Kopter Group (Kopter) is part of the Leonardo Group, a global industrial group that builds technological capabilities in Aerospace, Defence & Security (Revenue € 14.7 bn in 2022, headquartered in Italy).Kopter is developing a new generation of single turbine helicopter – the AW09 – that delivers best in class performance, the largest cabin and cargo volumes, outstanding modularity and modern electronic systems.For the delivery of the AW09, the combination of operational manufacturing continuity and cost control were essential programme management requirements. Kopter therefore hired me in the position of Engineering Management Controller. I sit at the interface of engineering, production, procurement, and suppliersMy main contributions are to a) support smooth collaboration between engineering and suppliers of products, materials and services critical to delivery of the AW09, and b) to ensure Kopter’s senior leadership has the right numbers to take programme management decisions for the AW09 programme.In addition, I streamlined, automated and maintained significantly improved data collection, analysis and visualization, which is a critical input to senior management decision-making.This experience is a valuable steppingstone to a more senior project management / data management role.
