My role at Relays BU is being an Sport Development Officer however my role is broken up into two sections as I also am a Development Officer in my chosen sport. As a Sports Development Officer (SDO) my role requires me to engage people into getting into sports, promoting active lifestyle, and volunteering for charity sports events. The role is similar to that of an activator. Responsibilities of a Sports Development Officer require writing reports, organising events, management of events, training of volunteers/staff, liaising with National governing bodies, liaising with other SDO's, Lecturers and also Sport England professionals. Lastly as a Sports Development Officer I am required to work in specific boundaries and guidelines. As a Football Development Officer my role slightly differs from being a regular SDO as it is more sports specific. As a Football development officer I am required to liaise with The FA in order to see what football events are in Dorset & Hampshire, these events will then allow me to arrange volunteers to take part as well promote the sport in order to get more people participating the event for it to be an overall success. Participation rates are important for me as an SDO and Football Development Officer as the more people in sports it aids the growth resulting in more opportunities for everybody.

Moreton In Marsh, Gloucestershire, UK
The Spice Room is a small Indian restaurant in the Cotswold's, UK. The restaurant is an established and successful local business with a tripadvisor rating of No.1 in Moreton-In-Marsh. As a manager I experienced a variety of different jobs in the catering industry, this was essential in my development as it allowed me to grow from the bottom to the top of the culinary world. These experiences proved my abilities to the owner and eventually I grew within the company.Being the restaurant manager I was expected to have attention to detail and consideration for every aspect of the hiring process for the majority of the employees including interviewing, hiring and training. As well as this my duties included attending to personnel needs, furthermore a certain level of care needed to be accounted when it came to food service and administrative duties.Responsibility for duties such as payroll, licensing, food ordering, inspections and all sorts of other paperwork were handled by myself and the owner. The manner in that these tasks are extensive training needed to be conducted, because errors can be extremely expensive and costly to the business.
