    Orora Specialty Packaging (currently know as Opal Specialty Packaging) is a specialist in corrugated packaging. Their expertise is in both small orders and specialty cartons that cannot be made by the major corrugated sites. This includes industrial packaging, point of sale displays, and all corrugated packaging outside of the standard cardboard box. OSP's focus was on providing a solution to high quality, specialised products.As an estimator I gained invaluable experience working closely with both the sales and operations teams. Working with over a dozen lines, costings and capacities, this role was a solid extension of my overall supply chain knowledge. Shortly into my time at OSP, an opportunity arose to production manage a specific line which had numerous capacity issues that was creating a serious customer service effect on a major FMCG client. within three months I had implemented a new production plan, full supply chain solution and improved customer service to the client.

    I worked for Unilever Australia for just under 10 years in a variety of roles, starting as a raw material planner then progressing to procurement clerk to an assistant procurement manager for Asia, Africa and Russia, to my most recent role as Procurement Manager for Savoury Raw Ingredients for Australia. I worked closely not only with my suppliers but also internally with the research and development team, planning team, factory quality team, sales team, marketing team and factory process team. Strategic growth and always striving for a mutual winning solution is a constant goal for me.

Within this time, I also was a key user in a SAP roll-out and a project leader for an electronic data interface between a third party logistic company and Gambro. This diverse role set me up well for my roles within Unilever and taught me from a young age to understand and respect the importance of every role in a company, no matter how big or small that may be.
