      Initially employed as a Social worker in Victorian Prisons, I then became a Probation and Parole Officer in St Kilda. I managed a number of Community Correctional Services locations (Prahran, Carlton, Footscray, Dandenong and Broadmeadows) before becoming the General Manager of the then North West Region. Whilst in community corrections, I then became the General Manager of Operations, the General Manager of the CCS Redevelopment Program, the Secretary / Executive Officer of the Adult Parole Board and acted as the Director of Community Correctional Services on a number of occasions for periods of up to 4 months.I subsequently assumed senior management responsibility for a number of operational and functional units relevant to both Prisons and Community Correctional Services, including Corrections Victoria's Indigenous Policy and Services Unit, Wulgunngo Ngalu Learning Centre (a residential diversion program for Indigenous men), the Judy Lazarus Transitional Centre (Victoria's first and only Transition Centre for male prisoners in the latter part of their sentences), the then Home Detention Program, the Transitional Services Unit and finally Corrections Victoria's Reintegration Program. I also had the opportunity to act as the General Manager (Governor) of Victoria's Women's Prison Region on two occasions.I loved my work with Corrections Victoria and believe that I was regarded highly within the workplace and by external stakeholders.
