Left Crossland after a year to pursue an opportunity with the old Puget Sound Banker group who where starting up Columbia Bank and Mortgage where I was the Underwriting Manager for 2 years, then teamed up with Federated Mortgage and Coldwell Banker Hawkins Poe in Puyallup as an In-House full service Columbia Bank Mortgage for 2 more years until the project was discontinued. Tried contract underwriting for Cmac on site in a broker's shop (Home Mortgage USA) underwriting specifically for investors Flagstar and Countrywide for 1 year, then went back to Columbia Bank as Underwriting Manager of Wholesale and Retail and resigned in 2000 when it was clear to me their committment to mortgage lending was fading as they eventually disbanded their entire in house mortgage division as now it is all done through out-sourcing at the bank branch level. Spent a year working for Accubanc/National City Wholesale and left for a better opportunity with Evergreen Moneysource Retail. Cowlitz Bank's Mortgage Division, Bay Mortgage, made me an offer I could not refuse and both myself and several Evegreen Moneysource originators left for what we thought were greener pastures with Bay Mortgage until Cowlitz decided to discontinue their mortgage division with the slowdown in the market by the end of 2003 the year in which we started. In early 2004, First Magnus approached me to start a wholesale branch in Washington, and as the underwriting manager, I hired 4 employees that I had met at Evergreen Moneysource as my underwriters and processors, then built an even larger team, endured 5 different branch managers and we flourished until First Magnus filed bankruptcy August, 2007. Since then, I have held various positions at other companies, and desire a company that holds the promise of longevity!
