    I am a person - centered counselor in possession of a BA Degree in Theological Studies & Pastoral Counseling. I am registered with the Council for Counselors South Africa, registration number CO 2066. I am also registered with the Board of Addiction Professionals Member number M9898254, I am 50 years old with many years of counseling experience. I believe I have been put on this earth to help people and I love what I do. I thrive in the areas of counseling and coaching persons suffering from addiction, family problems, rape, sexual, physical and emotional abuse, codependency, boundary issues, traumatic experiences, low self-esteem, grief, relationship issues, mental health issues, etc. I have helped many people to overcome and accept what has happened to them in their lives and to continue on despite their challenges (confidentially, with empathy and respect)I am able to accept people unconditionally, have excellent listening skills, possess knowledge of various counselling techniques and how to apply them in context. I have the capacity to accept anyone (without judgement). Most importantly, I have been there. I have experienced addiction first hand having had a child in addiction.

    I am in charge of the well being of all the female residents on program and have put together and implemented a 20 week lecture/class/teaching program. My duties included managing staff members, program management, correcting behavior, dealing with emotional issues as well as past history with substance abuse. I dealt with families and supporters and assisted in reconciliation where possible. I counselled many people during this time and also assisted some ladies who did not have substance abuse problems, but behavioral and mood disorders under the supervision of a Psychiatrist.
