    My responsibilities at BEE, included managing a national programme on enhancing the energy efficiency in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, being implemented in selected 25 clusters across the country. The activities included in the program are energy/technology audit, capacity building through tailor made training programs, identification and implementation of energy efficient and renewable energy technologies, and facilitation of innovative financing schemes. My role here was to interact with various executing agencies (executing the above activities in various identified clusters) on daily basis, ensure the quality of deliverable, timely implementation of the activities in the clusters. My responsibility also included the interaction with various donor agencies like WB, GEF, UNIDO, etc who are also interested in working in SMEs and to provide inputs to these agencies for their similar programs for promoting green manufacturing.

    At TERI, I was involved in projects related to Industrial energy efficiency improvement through energy audits, techno-economic evaluation of energy efficient and environmentally benign technologies, publication of case studies and imparting training on energy conservation and management aspects. I was also involved in activities related to extension of implementation support of select promising energy conserving technologies to help industries realise energy savings. Assessment of techno-economic feasibility of clean and energy efficient technologies, technology transfer and demonstration projects are also done with a view to accelerate their market penetration and domestic manufacturing. I was also involved in clean development mechanism (CDM) related activities such as dissemination of information, base line studies, writing of project design documents (PDDs), etc for the industry leading to reduction in green house gas (GHG) emission.
