I was an extra in the movie "Future Kill" with Edwin Neal and Marilyn Burns from the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre". Our scenes were filmed at the infamous "Club Foot" at 4th and Brazos in Austin. Next, I had the thrill of playing a British Punk Rock Girl in Stevie Ray Vaughan's music video "Couldn't Stand The Weather" for MTV. It was filmed in Austin at the 501 Studios @ 6th Street and IH 35 N. The Austin Fire Dept. was spraying us with a fire hose throughout the video, and Stevie handed me a TOWEL!!! WOW!!! Where is that darn towel now? Next up was the movie "Songwriter" with Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson. I got paid but the scenes ended up on the cutting room floor! Soon after, I got a part in the video filmed @ the iconic Hut's Hamburgers (RIP) for "Pretty Little Lights of Town" by the LeRoi Brothers. Mom and I were extras in "Wild Texas Wind" (1991) with Dolly Parton and Gary Busey. A bit later the band "Little Texas" filmed a video for the song "Amy's Back in Austin" at the infamous "Dance Across Texas" (another RIP, sadly) where I was seen for a few fleeting moments at the bottom of the screen at the end of the video........you can see 'em on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8lNV5oK4NSB4SxMuKl9k8Q
