Joined WatchGuard Technologies as Director of Finance at the inception of the company in 1996. Researched and implemented the financial accounting system, a custom financial reporting system, and an equity reporting system. Hired and trained finance personnel, including staff accountants, accounts payable specialists, credit manager and credit personnel. WatchGuard experienced significant growth in a short period of time, and required the conversion and implementation of new accounting software suitable for the enterprise level. During the growth phase I also continued to assist with HR as needed, and managed the process of placing employees in Europe and Asia. WatchGuard became a publicly-traded company in 1999, and had a secondary stock offering just subsequent to the IPO. My responsibilities included providing all financial information and disclosures to the auditors, attorneys and underwriters for both public offerings.
