    Worked closely with the CEO at Starfire Sports from the inception of the company in 2003 through 2008. Served as the Director of Finance & HR through 2008, and continue to provide financial and HR services as needed. Starfire is a not-for profit sports facility which includes a large indoor soccer facility with retail space, grass and turf soccer fields, concessions and maintenance facilities, and also serves as the home of the Seattle Sounders MLS organization. My work included implementation and continued development of the financial system, and creation and implementation of internal policies and controls for both finance and HR. Hired, trained and mentored the current finance and HR personnel. Continue to provide advice or services during the annual reporting process and as needed for other sensitive finance issues.

    Joined WatchGuard Technologies as Director of Finance at the inception of the company in 1996. Researched and implemented the financial accounting system, a custom financial reporting system, and an equity reporting system. Hired and trained finance personnel, including staff accountants, accounts payable specialists, credit manager and credit personnel. WatchGuard experienced significant growth in a short period of time, and required the conversion and implementation of new accounting software suitable for the enterprise level. During the growth phase I also continued to assist with HR as needed, and managed the process of placing employees in Europe and Asia. WatchGuard became a publicly-traded company in 1999, and had a secondary stock offering just subsequent to the IPO. My responsibilities included providing all financial information and disclosures to the auditors, attorneys and underwriters for both public offerings. I became the Director of Financial Reporting subsequent to the IPO and was responsible for the quarterly financial reports and all equity reporting.

Also responsible for the initial identification and resolution of accounting issues, and assisted in cash flow and budgeting.

Designed improved internal accounting controls for a number of clients. Performed annual audits and quarterly reviews for public clients including Immunex, Zymogenetics and Ackerley Communications. Also specialized in the tech start-up sector, and worked with a number of non-public companies within the software, hardware, services and biotech industries.
