    Instrumental music teacher at a large high school in SE Texas implementing traditional and non-traditional goals for students' personal growth as musicians, individuals, and citizens. I am privileged to have taught thousands of young people of various talents and consider myself very lucky to have been a part of their educational experiences.

    Assistant Chef working evenings at a business-travel oriented hotel restaurant. Food cost ratios were fairly high for this sort of venue. My mentor was a family friend from Lake Charles, a talented Chef who spent time in the Navy, managed kitchens in Baton Rouge, and was a skilled teacher. Responsibilities included daily menu preparation, evening Chef, customer service, staff and management relations, banquet and buffet preparation, and inventory.
