    Working with Anaheim Union High School and its feeder districts’ administrators to help create Strategic Arts Plans, and to implement, expand, and maintain arts programs. Helping parents advocate on the importance of arts in the curricula. Make presentations at school board meetings in support of the arts. Attende and participate in arts events. Work with arts leaders across the county, in collaboration with Arts OC and OCDE, to train, support, and empower them to be effective advocates in their districts.

    Worked at the County PTA level with school districts, PTAs and 120K members across the county. As Arts Education Chair: established relationships with arts organizations and the Orange County Music and Arts Administrators Board at the OC Department of Education resulting in increased arts programs in schools. As Social Media Chair and VP of Communications: established social media presence, trained unit leaders how to use social media effectively, coordinated newsletter publication and distribution of information on pertinent topics and events, created a translation service, and trained parent leaders on effective presentation skills. As VP of Education, supported our members in areas including: Arts Education, Special Education, Curricula & Instruction, Health & Welfare, and Community Concerns. Taught parent trainings on issues such as state education funding, the Common Core Curriculum, state testing, and Local Control Accountability Plans.

    I assist clients with their medical care, allowing them to focus on recovery. I attend appointments and visit them in the hospital, translating doctor speak, explaining test results, and helping them to understand their healthcare options and decide on the best course for their care. I help to coordinate care between the myriad of specialists and appointments. Prior to appointments we work out any questions to be asked, or follow up needed for previous issues. After the appointment, all information is written down for the client, so they have a written record and don't have to worry about remembering all that is said or missing details. When needed, we can work on an end of life care plan, and I work to ensure the client's wishes are carried out.

Met with legislators locally and in Sacramento to advocate for children’s issues such as education funding, children’s health, and support for disadvantaged students.

    Led a troop of Girl Scouts from Daisies to Ambassadors level, including troop camping, travel, and skills competition, culminating in a three week trip to Europe. Ran the Service Unit Product Sales team, which handled over 50,000 cases of cookies being distributed, leader training, problem solving, reward distribution, paperwork processing, and computer inventory tracking. Worked with the county level leadership crew to train hundreds of troop leaders on product sales and help with troubleshooting and support.
