    Having a dual role at the firm, I have developed a better understanding of complex business decisions and technical accounting concepts while also increasing my knowledge of accounting standards and reporting requirements for different entity types. I have taken on more technical tax and compliance services, increasing my awareness of financial arrangements and assisting with strategic planning, especially when it comes to business succession. Early last year, I was given the task of researching and implementing the firms transition onto Xero's accounting platform. Although this process is still ongoing, it has created a new income stream for the firm and has pushed me into a secondary role as Client Manager looking after our Xero based clients. I also became the firms Xero Partner and Certified Advisor. I am still heavily committed to learning and development and to better my decision making. My goal is to improve my resilience to better deal with the many issues that I may come across on a daily basis and to work on my adaptability with the growing online processes that our industry has entered into.
