ilmi – meaning “my knowledge” in Arabic – will be a fully accessible science discovery and innovation center that inspires and empowers young people across Saudi Arabia to explore, create, and solve challenges in a hands-on way. A philanthropic, non-government initiative incubated by the Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation “Misk” as one of its subsidiaries, ilmi will be located in Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City. Websitewww.ilmi.saI was promoted first as Acting CEO, before shedding the “Acting” after the official board appointment, leading the design and development for ilmi to become a major program providing a fully immersive and interactive experience for youth to explore the marvels of science, technology, and creativity. Among my key contributions and achievements, developing the overarching strategy and building the organizational structure from the ground up to support the program. This included onboarding a 30+-member team and delivering the training and coaching to enable each member to excel. We have forged powerful relationships with strategic partners that were critical in getting the project off the ground and driving project execution.Worked hand-in-hand with developers and architects to shape the building design, created the museum’s brand identity, and helped shape all programs and content/exhibits showcased across the galleries.
