Participated in a WHO- PP FP research study orchestrated within four districts namely; Chipata, Choma, Livingstone, and Lundazi. The objective of the study was to determine the feasibility, acceptability, quality, and effectiveness of innovative models for strengthening postnatal/ postpartum care and family planning within each district, at five health centers as well as provincial/ district hospitals that were randomly selected from among those found to be eligible, in consultation with the Department of Public Health and Research (Reproductive and Child Health), Ministry of Health and selected DHMT. It was a randomized controlled trial to develop and evaluate new models of integrated postpartum care for women living in both high and low-prevalence HIV settings.
