    I worked with Dr. Frances Contreras, Associate Vice Chancellor Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Faculty Recruitment in the department of Education Studies at UCSD. We examined how impactful the Puente Program is on Latinx Community College Students in California. By conducting a detailed analysis of all 64 Community College Puente Programs with characteristics of what each program offers, transfer rates, students’ ethnicity, and more. We collected qualitative data by conducting interviews with select PUENTE Directors in San Diego County & Orange County and quantitative data by sending a survey to previous and current Puente students to get a better insight of how the students were impacted by the program. This research will inform PUENTE’s efforts as the leadership works to improve and scale up the Puente Program to increase Latinx students with college degree.

    Did research with Dr. Nicholas Boechler in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace. We analyzed soft materials and their properities. We focused on building a High-speed upward tower that will strike a silicon material at 25 meters per second and using a high-speed camera capture and analyze the data.
