    New role replacing the incumbent CFO. I was contracted to assist in the transition of the role whilst the organisation recruited a full time candidate with Project Development experience. The role encompassed full financial oversight inherited from the CFO and added responsibility for the Property Division. I set up the processes required to ensure the seamless payment of project costs related to the $200m property development being undertaken by the club over the next 2-3 years.

Finance covers annual budgeting, tax and audit management, cashflow and foreign exchange management and general ledger sign-off. Prime contact person with funding partners providing regular business updates and reporting against covenant conditions. Production of monthly business unit P&Ls, analysis and MIS support to the senior management team and the Board. Monthly attendance of Board meetings to give financial commentary on the business. Direct management responsibilities for two accountants, six accounts payable/receivable staff and one payroll staff.

I collated all board reporting and attended board meetings.There was a heavy emphasis on automating processes throughout the organisation linking quoting and job costing through to client presentations and 20 year cost of ownership models.The MD and I also invested a great deal of time and effort to develop a new business model for the company in an effort to develop annuity revenues from a value add approach, a 180 degree departure from the existing contracting business model.
