    As a member of the senior management team, I am responsible for the development of the data warehouse and all data integrations into and out of the business. I am an advocate for the data warehouse across the business and GDPR.I manage a key team of developers and business analysts with overlapping skills, to best deliver data warehouse, data transformation, cleansing and data for analytics. I have my team adhere strictly to scrum and agile principles with deliverables every two weeks to key stakeholders, the product owner and the wider group. At dlc, I have driven the optimisation of the data warehouse ETL process, halving the overnight process time and bringing the intraday process to near real-time and achieving the business desire to have “real-time” reporting with earlier morning reporting. I drove the move to a new datacentre, promoting new business reporting and delivery practices and executed a large data migration of historic and live financial account data from two debt collection systems into one.As a financial business, all activities have to be FTC compliant and as a business with a large US based investment, all data held within the data warehouse has to be Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliant.I report directly to the COO of dlc and to the CEO of the Cabot Group, owner of dlc.

    Responsible for analysing existing SSIS based ETL project state and creating and executing plan to return the project to budget and timescale by re-engineering data flows and creating new data flows. Project required a full ETL process to re-platform from three separate systems/databases and content types into a unified database running a new software platform called Acolaid from idox. Project was successfully delivered on time, within budget with greater data accuracy and scope than expected in original project scope.• Created new project plan, incorporating basic Agile/Scrum principles, enabling multiple step-increment deliverables within required timeframe, allowing end user testing and feedback to start weeks earlier than previously anticipated.• Developed end-user “buy-in” and confidence to new software platform by meeting with key stakeholders on an almost daily basis to understand their real-world requirements and to manage expectations. Building these relationships allowed me to discover and rectify major scoping errors that had been missed by the previous project team, before they became critical issues.• Optimised and greatly expanded original SSIS project code. Reduced execution time of project code from 5 hours down to 30 minutes, allowing for rapid implement, execute, and test cycles. Increased data accuracy and increased scope of extracted data. This accuracy and increase in data allowed the council to meet legal obligations on data retention and reporting which they would otherwise have failed to do so.• Source and target database were Microsoft SQL Server. Solution required T-SQL, SSIS and ASP.NET scripts within the SSIS project.
