I develop electrical hardware, firmware, and mechanical implementation for physiological data acquisition systems. The most experience I have in developing the mechanical aspect of a project is machining molds on a 3-axis CNC and 3D printing the enclosure/hardware. I've written embedded firmware in both C and C++ with a focus on portability. I have developed devices using USB and Bluetooth to transmit acquired data to host software on a computer. I also write the manufacturing and test procedures for the products I design.
