    Scott worked with Morrison where he spent 50% of his time leading the DBA element of the Morrison scalability and performance testing project. This involveds maintaining E-Business suite environments and providing analysis, guidance, and advice during/after performance testing cycles to ensure the system is sized appropriately for the working environment. To aid this he has developed a performance testing toolset to monitor and assist with analysis of performance test runs. The other 50% of Scott’s time was utilised supporting and monitoring Production performance and supporting environment cloning, upgrades, Capacity Management, and proactive planning to ensure service stability. He has also developed Capacity Management data pull toolsets to aid the monthly reporting of Production capacity.

    Scott returned to McKesson to work on the NHS HRMS/Payroll project to implement and assist with the NHS Payroll performance and scalability testing. He continued on the project to lead the DBA work for the 10Tb R12 environment upgrade. This involved planning, implementing, and tuning the upgrade process with a remit to perform the upgrade in a minimum downtime window. The R12 upgrade component was performed in a credible 23hrs. Scott led the DBA team supporting the upgrade project.

    Scott has worked on an upgrade project working for CSC where the end client was General Dynamics. The role involved a database upgrade followed by a Financials 11.5.8 – 11.5.10 upgrade. He went on to perform a Single SignOn and Portal POC project. Scott also provided DBA cover for the implementation of the Supply Chain, Order Management, Project Management/Project Resource Management and HR modules iRecruitment, Oracle Learning Management, and Compensation Workbench. Scott was the lead DBA on the project. This role also involved implementing the Tripwire auditing toolset, Business Intelligence Publisher and User Productivity Kit.

    Scott spent 9 years working for Oracle UK where he spent his time in different parts of the business including Oracle Support, Oracle Consulting Services, and Oracle Advanced Customer Services.He worked with many customers during this period implementing and advising on Oracle Applications technology. These customers included BAA, Lloyds, DEFRA, Environment Agency, Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS), HM Prison Service, Imperial College, Mckesson, MOD Bath, Network Rail, O2/Xansa, Student Loans, Vodafone, and Whitbread.
