The Washtenaw County chapter, like the larger FAN organization, was created with the mission of improving outcomes for people with addictions by helping to remove the stigma associated with addiction. Our chapter does this by providing a place for members of the community who are impacted by substance use to congregate. The topics of our meetings vary from month to month, however, are centered around the goals of increasing awareness, providing education, interacting with health care professionals and law enforcement, and giving community members a platform to reflect on their beliefs and experiences.
