Worked as Financial Analyst in the Energy and Power Markets Department to determine correlations between fossil fuel pricing, energy pricing, and cost of goods sold. Created a detailed pro-forma financial excel model which calculated the incremental change in operating margins associated with price changes in natural gas. Financial model included analysis of the incremental energy revenue generated and its correlation to natural gas prices, as well as a detailed review of all cost of goods sold to determine the magnitude and sensitivity to the natural gas commodity. Management is currently using created model to better-forecast changes in operating profit margin associated with fluctuations in natural gas pricing. Developed energy revenue projections, based on forward curves of PJM, NEPOOL, NYISO, Independent System Operator (ISO) power pool pricing and plant production, to support the generation of financial forecasts.
