With voter approval for funding, created a town-wide park system, built a new library, improved previously neglected infrastructure, instituted Community Policing, protected the environment and created programs to reduce the community's carbon footprint, and promoted arts and culture. Supported excellence in education and partnerships with civic organizations. Strengthened neighborhoods and property values, and improved business/commercial corridors. Ensured integrity and ethics throughout the system, established open, transparent government, and encouraged citizen involvement in the decision making process on issues that affected their lives. Welcomed diversity and inclusion, which enriched the community, and championed equal rights and non-discrimination for all.
