Founded several data-powered startups. Although most didn't work out at all, and none were breakouts, all were addressing big problems and worthy causes.OneLibri was founded with a mission to dramatically improve the quality of diagnoses and treatment plans. Over 10% of Primary Care diagnoses and treatment plans are incorrect, all with potential for harm, and some with long-term or permanent harm. The reasons are overloaded physicians and ever decreasing visit duration. Our approach used process and data automation to collect more data on patient's medical history and symptoms than done today, and considered more edge-cases than done today, and recommended treatment pathways for physicians. We paused working on OneLibri in 2022 for a variety of reasons.FairSale was creating the world's best and largest consumer purchase database to bring fairness and transparency to retail prices. This data would enable many consumer and retailer services, and our first service was automated price-protection of $130b of money left on the table by US consumers. FairSale monitored all your shopping, and when you missed a sale *after* you bought something, it got you a refund! This service reached robust service metrics. Over 40% of users got money back in the first month itself, 85% after 3 months of joining. We had <1% monthly churn with >$50 refund/user/yr. However, because of retailer retaliation much earlier than anticipated, we closed the startup in 2016.Libri Mobile was creating the world's most accurate brand-preference database, powered by real-time user choice. Libri Mobile was an innovator in choice based media sponsorships, giving control of the advertising experience back to the user, enabling 50x improvement in ad-effectiveness! It addressed the massive problem of advertising-fatigue and avoidance - the fact that we all hate advertising. Purchased by Rivus Media in late-2014.

Telephia was a leader in mobile consumer research, and was purchased by The Nielsen Company in 2007 for $440m. Our data and analytics were relied upon by mobile operators to make key operating and investment decisions. I led sales and client services for large mobile operators and device OEMs (Samsung, LG, Nokia) and exceeded revenue and booking targets every year except for one. Personally closed over $60m in sales during my tenure with long, complex sales cycles of 6-12 months, influencing multiple stakeholders, at all levels from C-level to manager, across functional areas of Marketing, Advertising, Customer Support, Engineering and Network Operations. After our acquisition, I managed Nielsen's Telecom Business in Asia Pacific and MEA with a matrixed team of 140 across 30+ countries. I supported my team to practice consultative selling, and in building c-level relationships.

Excite@Home Network invented cable-broadband to the home. I managed a product portfolio of access and content offerings, and launched several innovative services. During the dot-com melt-down, I supported senior mgmt on analysis and strategy to downsize company and refocus on a smaller set of profitable products.Two of the products I launched were:(1) Mid-Tier Broadband Access: Re-configured broadband product (coax to quasi-coax) and launched service in multiple mid-tier cities across the US, with new positioning and pricing. Led team of 12 Network, IT and Client software engineers to develop, QA and deploy solution in the field. Trained over 300 Customer Support, Technical Support, Network Operating Center, and Installation crews.(2) Hi-Def Video: Launched the internet's first broadband video service to consumers. Negotiated multi-million dollar partnerships with Microsoft and iBeam.
