    This role is an outbound International Assignment to BAT New Zealand; I then transferred into the Area Compliance role, reporting initially to the Financial Controller and later the South Pacific Financial Controller of British American Tobacco Australia.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:• Plan and complete business wide compliance reviews at BAT Australia and the South Pacific (PNG, Fiji, Solomon Islands and Samoa) with more focus on Finance controls. • Prepare and roll out Australasia Compliance team review program steps. • Facilitate quarterly Australasia Governance, Risk and Controls meetings.• Facilitate Australasia (Aust. and South Pac) Annual Control Navigator assessment.SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:• Resolved issue of lack of documented review guidelines for Compliance reviews and audits. This ensured the reviews became more effective and efficient, and more focused on key company controls and requirements. • Completed the Australasia Impact & Gravitas training in Sydney, Australia (2018), including Leadership Presence, Presenting with Influence and The Power of Emotional Engagement.• Prepared BATA for an International Audit by the Global BAT Internal Audit team.
