I joined the Wellness and Sexual Health team after I met with the program manager and the director of the program. I have been fortunate enough to continue working with school districts and students in the implementation and training of the Worth the Wait Sex Education Program. I have sat in on classroom presentations, where I have conducted surveys and gathered data on students and teachers on the success of the program.I have been taking that data to develop and enhance the successful curriculum that we currently use. I continue to learn and gain valuable knowledge on CDC data, TEKS, and the bills passed through the Texas Legislature through my current position as Program Assistant. I have had opportunities to assist with the facilitation of trainings and spoken as a vendor at health conferences.

I joined the Disney College Program after I saw a flyer at the University where I was conducting my dual credit. After graduating high school and enrolling into that same university I met with the contact for Disney on campus. Being accepted into the program was a pretty lengthy process. I first had to complete my application and then change my major to recieve college credit, then I was contacted for a phone interview. I was accepted into the program and began the journey to Florida.I worked in retail, and after working at one park for a couple of months I wanted to learn more about the others, so I asked to become a park hopper. I was sent to various locations, with my home base being Wide World of Sports. I loved the constant challenge of being somewhere new and learning how different parks and their employees operated.I also was lucky enough to take a communication class which I completed and recieved a certificate for.The most amazing experience for me personally, were the interactions with the students from all over the world. I was able to connect with them and get to know about their culture, as well as tell them about mine. To this day I still stay in contact with them via Facebook and Instagram.I was truly blessed to have the opportunity to have worked for Disney at 19 years old. I know that it shaped the way I spoke with people and how I conducted myself on a professional level, and I also believe that it made me a more outgoing person, a skill that I very much needed at Texas A&M University.
