EOP is a program at CSUSM, focused on providing equitable access for first-generation low-income students in earning their bachelor’s degree, providing retention support services, and resources or workshops.As a Peer mentor, I supported first-year students with their transition from high school to college life through my experiences to help them navigate the college culture. Tasks included:- Mentoring 1:1 appointments with first-year first-generation students, 20 slots per week- Documenting 1:1 appointment notes and reporting to EOP Database Entry- Facilitated a “program” (an event) on imposter syndrome, “DIY Cover Magazine: Declining your Imposter Syndrome” - Reported mandated reports, or concerns, and Cougar Care Network (CCN) Referrals- Designed and emailed out bi-weekly newsletters - Building and maintaining rapport with first-year students through 1:1s, Cougar Connects, outside of the EOP office- Created RSVP Forms for 2 week in advanced, emailed RSVP form with 2 day friendly reminder, and day of- Constructed surveys and re-evaluated mentoring styles and programs- Collectively worked along with two other EOP Peer Mentors to create programs for 2023 Summer Bridge students and the 2022-2023 EOP first-year students

Strived to educate our campus about Latin@/x issues, multi-dimensional identities, and provided culturally enriched, transformational programs and services to foster holistic wellness. Utilized Basecamp, Microsoft Teams, MailChimp, and Google account. Promoted the Center's Instagram page to enhance student engagement and increased the platform by 100 gained followers in a few month; reached 1,500 followers.
