I managed the social media team until I left university when I stepped down from Litoro completely. This was to allow current UCT students to get involved in this incredible organization and bring fresh perspectives and ideas on how Litoro can decrease the plight of the South African education crisis.

    Litoro Foundation is a student-run, registered nonprofit company which identifies high potential underprivileged high school pupils, sources and secures funding for their studies and provides each pupil with a tutor and mentor to enable academic and personal success.I first joined the Litoro Foundation when it was founded in 2017 to assist with the setup and initial day-to-day operations. At this stage, my responsibilities included:- Defined and setup the core scholarship programme (defined scope of scholarship; selected schools to partner with; recruited team to run day-to-day operations; managed costing and budgeting)- Developed and conducted initial fundraising campaign (preparing a pitch to potential donors; organising an event for the pitch; hosting the event)- Co-developing the Tutor & Mentor Programme (screening and recruiting tutors; setup of governance for engagements; assisting the compilation of standardised Mentor guide)

My responsibilities included the testing of a variety of the packaging units, assisting with programming the plant cleaning system and facilitating the installation of Tetra-Pak Machinery.
