    Loomer spent twelve plus years working as the Executive Vice President & Chief of Staff of MedBridge, a Santa Barbara-based healthcare management company, leading the way in building it from 11 to over 50 employees. Ruth provided executive oversight and staff leadership to both the MedBridge corporate team and MedBridge’s numerous surgical centers and physician practices throughout California, strengthening employee engagement and also expanding community relations through service projects. From the board room working with surgeon partners, to the conference room leading training sessions for staff, to the lunch room engaging one-on-one with all, Loomer relished watching people and systems transform towards greater health.

    As Chief of Staff, Loomer expanded her focus from operations, finance and business development to the people across all of MedBridge's entities. She wholeheartedly believes that the "secret sauce" of any organization are it's people. She spent time mentoring, guiding and shaping MedBridge’s culture and people, ensuring that each staff had what they needed to succeed. She oversaw and managed MedBridge's growing physician practice engagements, and lent her expertise to the leaders in the organization.

    MedBridge is a socially responsible, green company that provides a full suite of development, management, consulting and revenue cycle services to ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). Loomer joined MedBridge in its early years, when it had three clients and eleven staff. She was brought in to guide an inexperienced group of individuals towards excellence, productivity, efficiency, a healthy culture, a supportive work environment, and ultimately towards teamwork. Ruth met with each staff and listened, developed a strategic plan, built trust, made difficult, but important staffing changes, and learned every role from each person in the company. She eventually helped the company create needed resources like training manuals and departmental resources to support staff and improve operations. As the company grew, and she embraced the philosophy of servant leadership, Loomer began a management training program to develop leaders from within. At one point, she had more than 25 direct reports but grew a high trust, high accountability team of leaders who were ready to take the company to the next place.
