    At AES International my first move was to assess the current operations of all the departments in order to build a Managed Information System that will ultimately improve efficiency as well as a centralized data source, allowing better decision making for management. Following a complete requirements gathering process, using an agile methodology approach, prioritized tasks were developed and implemented resulting in the redirection of key resources for the company's benefit. Due to the structure of the IT department, being the sole developer, I had the crucial responsibility of collaboration between the different stakeholders, head of departments and directors. SCRUM enabled not only a clear communication but also a clear perspective of KPIs reached. A wide set of technologies were used inclusive of but not limited to Java, web services, C#, python, amazon AWS and SQL for different results such as systems integrations using APIs, central data warehousing and real time data analytics displayed via a dashboard. Smaller tasks such as AUM figures, structured timesheets displaying actual employee productivity and automation of several process were achieved. In result the system improved efficiency across the board ultimately resulting in a capital saving.I also assisted in the general network maintenance, backups and strategic planning of the department.

    During my time at a boutique investment bank - KBC Aldini in Dubai who at the time were new to investing into innovation, saw me part of the deal negotiations for an airline mobile application. Due to the nature of the project i found myself collaborating with both outsourced developers and the airlines technical team. This role has not only significantly improved my technical skills but also communication to ensure deadlines were met whilst delivering the required standards. We focused on a 3 tier process where we catered for mobile use, web based improvements as we as integration with their CRM.

    My experience with the company was to put together a rewards program for clients. This saw constant interaction with the company director in order to achieve his required output. The online portal was developed using Java, bootstrap and a SQL back end. The program allowed in depth data collection of clients individual lives and activities they participate in, sparking my interest into data and the benefits it gives a company in leverage and expanding current revenue models.

My role included the Installation of servers, workstations, printers, CCTV camera systems and finger print readers ensuring the industry standards were met. There was a lot of collaboration between the head of IT and different stakeholders such as business owners in regards to strategic planning and reallocating of used resources. Training was given on the servicing of brand related software requirements for Audi, Bosch Car Service and Volkswagen. Due to the size of the IT department, there was a constant pressure on resolving day to day issues, some being done remotely whilst others requiring traveling.
