My current work is intermittent due to state budget cuts. In the past it has been steady, but no more. I am very frankly looking for other work.

writer and reporter

Nov 1990 - Sep 2001
I began my journalism career in the United States Army, working part time as a reporter at Camp Page, Korea, reporting for the local Armed Forces Korea Network affiliate, doing a daily afternoon radio program for the troops, updating them on news from home. My regular MOS was as a meteorlogist for 1st Missle, 42nd Artillery Bn. After my Army service I worked for several television stations across the country, finally coming to Los Angeles to work for KABC-TV and KCAL-TV news. Worked as a writer and columnist for the Daily Journal Corp, Los Angeles. One of my last assignments at the paper was the 2000 Democratic National Convention in L.A. I began a teaching career at a magnet high school, with a course on television production techniques. In addition to the teaching work, I am doing freelance projects, including Web sites I have listed on this profile. I recently produced an annual PDF report with text and graphics for LDC, inc., a nonprofit community financial institution.
