    -For a project funded by NSERC, developed a rule-based energy management system (EMS) considering different microgrid constraints. Implemented the complete microgrid in Festo LabVolt power electronics modules and Opal-RT interfaces. RT-Lab and MATLAB/Simulink were used to design the controller.-Optimized PI controller parameters using Water cycle algorithm (WCA) and Bacteria foraging optimization in MATLAB environment. Verified the algorithm for a laboratory scale solar PV and battery storage-based microgrid.-Worked on commercial grade Schneider Electric inverter/converter in the laboratory for battery system management testing. -Designed a 2 layer PCB in Eagle, for Non-invasive muscle stimulator for a Startup company: Neuro Amel Technologies, Halifax, NS.
