    The Karachi Conference Foundation has been established by a group of professionals, scholars and activists from Karachi. In 2011, they came together to constitute the Executive Committee of the Karachi Conference Foundation, which held the first Karachi Conference at the Arts Council Pakistan, Karachi, in November 2013.The Foundation aims to provide a platform for generating discourse, presenting research, and holding public events on Karachi-related issues by partnering with relevant scholars, activists and institutions. The Foundation's main event will be an annual and growing international conference focusing on the city of Karachi as a subject of study through the lens of diverse disciplines. Other than the conference, talks, films and exhibitions on Karachi are also planned.

    I joined the Children's Museum for Peace and Human Rights in October 2001. I left my job in April 2008 but continued to work as its Consultant until 2022.

    I was associated with the CAS School as its Vice Principal and left it in 1996. I worked at the school for 10 years at the inception of its Junior Section (I was its Headmistress) and set up the school's Kindergarten Section in 1990. I Co-founded The Bookgroup, and worked as a Volunteer for 8 years, and later as its Director for 4 years, writing and illustrating Urdu books for children, as well as editing manuscripts. Trained Urdu teachers across hundreds of schools in Karachi and several parts of Pakistan. Wrote numerous Teachers' Manuals. Worked on an Integrated Curriculum as a team leader with a group of several schools for 6 years. Produced and published a number of books for children and trained school teachers across Pakistan in innovative approaches for language-teaching.
