Fulfills the duties of Customer Service Representative, a follows:• Manage order taking and fulfillment for larger retail chain store clients.• Receive orders from customers via telephone, email, fax and EDI. Decide on and apply discounts within prescribed guidelines. Accurately enter orders into the ERP system.• Notify and advise customers regarding out-of-stock and special-order items. Offer alternative products when an item/SKU is unavailable.• Categorize high-volume, and time-critical orders for special handling in collaboration with sales, warehouse management, purchasing, and the customer.• Make decisions regarding order prioritization, rush shipments, and exceptions to standard shipping charges. Prioritize stock picking and shipments to meet time-sensitive requirements.• Manage the schedule for fulfilling large, complex orders on behalf of newly opening stores.• Coordinate the fulfillment of back orders to minimize cancellations and preserve sales volume.• Monitor economic order size and sales margins, taking corrective action and/or alerting sales management as appropriate.• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints, so as to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.• Track missing shipments or shipped items, utilizing online systems and direct liaison with the shipping companies. • Participate in trade shows: negotiating with brokers ahead of time, meeting customers during the show, and ensuring that show orders are correctly collated and entered.In addition:• Assists with training and mentoring of new staff.• Assists Sales Manager and General Manager to analyze sales data.
