    Thursday the 9th of February I was asked by Happy Hour productions to help run and marshal on a location shoot for a NFU Mutual commercial. This was shot up on location in Malmsbury and was a complex shoot as there was 2 units and 2 base sites. All the crew arrived at the base by 8 and were travelled up in mini vans to the first and second locations of the shoot. One road was closed for the actions cars to simulate a near miss collision, a street and paths was temporarily shut off to members of the public as a shop was transformed into a unbranded florist for the action car to be brought through the street on the back of a low loader and the last location of the day was to give a local café a new look for the last crane shot.

    Thursday 8th of December, I was running and marshalling for Pogust Goodhead “My Diesel Claim” 2023 TV commercial. This was shot on a very cold Decembers morning through till late hours of the night down in Charfiled, UK. I was helping in all areas from transporting equipment to giving the talent, crew and clients hot water bottles, blanket, coffee and teas to keep everyone as warm as possible.We were very lucky to have compete access pub just over the road that we could uses as our BASE to have breakfast and lunch! Upstairs was transformed into a make shift make up and wardrobe dressing room for the make up department. The petrol station we were filming in was shut off for the entire day and the inside shop was slightly altered to fit the need of the advert. As I was also marshalling along side a couple of other colleges from university, we were in charge in making sure that members of the public knew and tried not to gain access to this pump station to use. Overall I had a very good time working on this shoot. Was lovely to be on location and get to meet lots of new crew from such a vast array of background in both Film and TV

    Quickly finding out from my University that one of Thor good friends at “the pitch” company were shooting a short film with a local Bristol director Paul Holbrook were In need of extra. Putting myself forward I emailed the production coordinator who very quickly accepted me and kept me very well updated with what I need to wear and be and getting details from me. Before I knew it I was on set waiting around, I was also able to meet new people one of which was a Bristol film critic, Nathan Harvey. This was only a one day shoot filming outside a real EXT location on a street which was closed for filming. However after bumping into the director again at a studio opening event I was shown footage of the cut and was able to see myself in it. I was also told that re shoots were needed and was called back a few months later to wear the same clothes and be at the same place.

    I was able to get this role as an extra through social media to help out for the new show “the neverments” by channel 4 and warner bros studio. Taking a train down from Bristol I arrived at Bridgwater where we met up early at 7:30 in the morning to have breakfast and then all traveled down the location for the day. We were filming in a location which was doubling up for another. (Cannot remember if I did sign a NDA so will not go into detail) Did have a lovely time on set, well looked after and did give me an opportunity to get an understanding on how a show can be filmed by a small team.

    I was approached by Happy Hour productions directly to help out as a runner for TV advert “SunLife”starting carol vorderman. This was based at PYTCH air studios, brislinton, Bristol on a very hot July. I was not only runner alongside a college from university but was also mentoring another person who was on work experience from a local school to have a day on set. This was a heavily studio based production with LED background screens behind a cut in half london black Taxi cab.

    With the help from university (boomsatsuma) I was able to get a paid job as a runner for a film still in post) made by Happy Hour productions which when I was starting was based at the bottle yard studios. On this date I was able to explore the studio, sets, costumes and production vehicles used for filming.

    During the summer of 2021, I was approached by a student who was starting pre production work on a short film and asked if I could assist. I was asked to be a 2nd AC for this student short film directed by Grace Morgan. The film was publicly funded and supported by, The BFI Academy, young minds, The Ben Kinsella trust and somerset films with supplied equipment from [email protected] was very well organized and I came on board this production knowing about all theses amazing organisations and production companies that were helping to sponsor and show their support to help get this short film into production and through post, ultimately getting it out to the public.This short film was shot down in the west country (Mainly Taunton) on location included : Taunton college Fields in street Strode college sports centreStreet house LOCOver theses days of filming I was able to work well in a small cast and crew and understand a lot of new transferable skills.This film has just been released to the public and has been screen at multiple film award shows in London and Bristol including the London independent film awards and the watershed
