I’m currently working as an account manager for Airedale Solutions Limited. My role is very demanding but rewarding. I am responsible for a number of duties which don’t typically fall under an account managers role:My daily responsibilities include:Dealing with incoming sales orders and processing the sales order on Sage.Stock control and liaising with production to ensure that we can meet the sales order in the time frame which the customer requests.Liaising with and meeting with current suppliers to order stock, negotiate prices and arrange deliveries. Raising sales invoices, and credit notes where necessary. Managing existing customer portfolio, customers include Aldi, Lidl, Karcher, Soudal etc.New product design, label artwork and authorising the final label design.Recognising new sales opportunities and trying to cross sell our products.

I worked in the water management team looking after the North East region selling concrete linear drainage systems to builder’s merchants, construction companies and local authorities. My daily duties include dealing with customers on the telephone, providing technical advice, processing quotations and orders, planning stock holding on vehicles to ensure goods arrive to customer’s sites accurately and on time. I also work closely with my external sales manager providing support for him in the office. This includes chasing quotations and gathering useful information such as site contacts, tender dates, expected order dates etc. I have strong working relationships with customers and colleagues. I enjoy the daily challenges which my job offers and getting involved in ad hoc projects.
