Work efforts have included the following examples:• Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad (Topeka, KS) – Served as project lead developing customized tools to enable the building and maintaining of an Visual Enterprise Business Model and the capturing of key customer intellectual capital in the model. • Bank of America (Charlotte, NC) – Served as project lead performing an engagement extracting and capturing key intellectual capital from several strategic business units to enable streamlining of customer service improvements. Built a visual dynamic model using this intellectual capital which demonstrated the business needs and the benefits of an integrated logical architecture.• Royal Bank of Canada (Toronto, Canada) – Served as project lead and performed a review of business requirements to determine the enterprise-wide data warehouse logical architecture that will address those requirements.• Bank of America (Concord, CA) - Managed engagement, working closely with their Chief Architect, helping them build the foundation for a state-of-the-art Enterprise Model of their IT Architecture.• T-Mobile (Bellevue, WA) – Designed the Logical Data Model for a Teradata Data Warehouse, enhancing the Teradata Communications LDM. Modeled the Semantic (i.e. Business), Logical and Physical Data Views with associated relationships and used the model to generate SQL.     Managed the research and development, system performance and system configuration administration activities required for a major operational network management system for Boeing.Managed development of a network alarm correlation prototype using a real-time object-oriented expert system and various artificial intelligence techniques.Managed the performance evaluation of an operational Boeing network management system.Managed the strategic and tactical planning of processes and systems necessary to operate, maintain and administer a variety of Boeing Communication Networks, including voice, data, video and electronic messaging.Developed several Unix-based Network Management Systems (a force dispatching and reporting system and an integrated network monitoring graphics system) and implemented them in a project consolidating four network management centers into one Telecommunications Management Center (TMC). The TMC provides the management for all voice, video, transport, and data internet telecommunications for the Boeing Company.Developed a Process Improvement Engine architecture which addressed a comprehensive set of process improvement evaluation criteria. These criteria included time-related metrics (responsiveness, cycle-time, etc.), performance-related metrics (utilization, availability, accuracy, etc. ) and cost-related metrics. All of these metrics were integrated into a technique for deriving a “value-added” perspective to assist in making decisions on process improvement activities. Some of the concepts were implemented as a demo on a real-time object-oriented expert system platform.Served as chief architect on the Boeing Telecommunications Management System Architecture Strategy team. Worked through significantly difficult issues until the team produced a consistent and well-developed architectural strategy. Was instrumental in developing several design breakthroughs in the strategy.

    Managed the development of requirements, conceptual design, logistics plan and detailed procedures for operations, maintenance and administration of the first AT&T 5ESS switch installed at Boeing. Functionality included provisioning management, operations engineering, materials management, switch & network management, cable & wire management, general operations management, configuration management and billing management. The processes and procedures were developed within a three month period and implemented on schedule for the cutover of the switch.Developed and implemented a trouble reporting system for tracking problems on five AT&T 5ESS switches.Managed implementation and operation of the Unix-based MFOS switch management system for five AT&T 5ESS switches and CSM switch management system for multiple AT&T System 85 switches. Functionality included alarm monitoring, switch maintenance, traffic data collection and evaluation, and recent change support.Managed implementation of E911 support capabilities into Boeing which became necessary as a result of the Boeing Telephone Services Modernization Program.Selected and implemented a cable and wire verification and management system for use in a major cable and wire verification project involving almost 20,000 stations, avoiding over $500,000 in costs.
