    I was the first staff member to join CMHC's new Lender Quality Assurance group. My responsibilities included assisting the Manager in creating a quality assurance framework to review Canadian mortgage lenders, designing the sampling methodology, creating excel template working papers and calculators, and writing internal control self-assessment questionnaires for lenders. I also participated in conducting the lender quality reviews. The activities I was involved in during reviews included sample preparation, file collection, review of key data elements used in insurance underwriting, performing data analytics to generate key insights on lender performance, meeting with lenders to debrief them on findings, and report writing.
