Coordinate and advise the placement process for DJS youth by consulting with Supervisors and Case Managers regarding youth who may need special services or out-of-home placement; currently chairing the Local Care Team (LCT) formerly the Local Coordinating Council which is an inter-agency forum through the Local Management Board (LMB), oversee the DJS Green Cadet Job Readiness Program which employs 10 juvenile delinquents whose scope of work consist of assignments through a partnership with Baltimore City Recreation and Parks; provide consultation to the Community and Family Resource Center, an initiative established by the Department in collaboration with the LINKS Program (Circuit Court of Baltimore City) that assist families in navigating the juvenile system, locate programs and services that aid families according to their needs outside the juvenile system such as (but not limited to) counseling, housing, continuing education, mentoring, employment, mental health, and substance abuse. Community providers such as (but not limited to) the Parent's Place, Freestate Challenge Academy, Maryland Legal Aid, and Our Daily Bread are on-site to accept referrals
