Performed day-to-day strategic and operational management of language translation and interpretation services in support of U.S. Government Contingency Operations in Iraq for 4,200 staff and employees. Direct report to President/CEO of GLS. • Directed the final withdrawal of 2,400 employees from Iraq, successfully repatriating them to their countries of origin in a span of 8 weeks without incident in tandem. (This was a major undertaking in view of the continuing requirement to maintain linguist support to military units during their accelerated and chaotic departure from Iraq before 31 Dec 2011.)• Completed in only 4 weeks the bidding process and pricing negotiations with sub-contractors for a new U.S. Army contract for linguists to support the follow-on mission for the U.S. Embassy in 2012 and beyond.

Technical Representative for field oversight of the Security and Information Technology subcontractors.• Maintained contract compliance and linguist services delivery to U.S. Forces in Iraq. • Ensured the company maintained staffing levels at or near 100% from persuasive retention efforts. As a result, the company received the maximum award fee from the U.S. Government each quarter.• Completed a complex and sizable demobilization effort ahead of schedule and while saving the U.S. Government millions in manpower and material costs.• Directed a 66% reduction of site offices and staff during the 2010/2011 Iraq drawdown, resulting in the site count decreasing from 34 to 12 and the staff count from 290 to 91.

As a result, the new BCT was able to begin operations within two weeks of arriving in theater, and two weeks ahead of schedule.
