    Responsible for troubleshooting (Coverage) and maintaining the systems and applications programs for an Airline Control Program/Transaction Processing Facility (ACP/TPF) with 120 DASD handling 100 entries per second, equaling over one million entries daily. The system processes over 72,000 international and national reservations daily.Duties included:>Analyze TPF problems, identify system/application program problem, determine most expedient repair method and personally repair program. >Write and maintain system utilities. >Analyze VTAM and SNA Network problems and perform required data base and program repairs. Special Projects:>Assisted Boeing Computer Services with repairing and maintaining their Computer Based Training (Scholar Teach) package and data base.>Wrote and installed a PC program to transfer data from a MOS scale to an IBM mainframe for a separate division. Accomplishments:>Responsible for planning and accomplishing the relocation of the entire ACP/TPF system from Bethesda, Maryland to Frederick, Maryland, a distance of 35 miles. Selected and installed a duplicate system at the new location and then transferred the existing system to the new system, simultaneously implementing a new version of TPF 2.3. >Built three new, individual test systems now used extensively. >Assisted in reorganizing the data base from 44 DASD to 88 DASD. >Installed a PC Console managemant System for the ACP/TPF system. >Recipient of the 1989 Distinguished Service Award.
