Founded Elcom 1992 as one of the the first electronic (pre-Internet) personal computer (PC) product sales company.Negotiated mergers and acquisitions of multiple PC remarketing companies, one in the U.K.IPO/public offering on Nasdaq in December 1995 via Robertson Stephens.Supported extremely high growth: over $750 million revenues achieved over the next few years.Introduced the first 'virtual' PC eCommerce system for businesses in August 2001. Initial results exceeded all forecasts until demand for IT products collapsed after September 11th terrorist attacks. Pivoted and led team to negotiate and create 'eProcurement Scotland' (PECOS)-the first government e-procurement system. Negotiated company sale to Smith and Williamson/UK in 2006.

Mr. Crowell negotiated the sale of NEECO, Inc. to JWP INC. (NYSE) in 1990-Created Computer Systems Group, later renamed JWP Information Systems, Inc., now EMCOR Group (NYSE: EME). As Chairman and CEO of JWP Information Systems, Inc., this international subsidiary of JWP grew to over $1.8 billion in revenues via organic growth and acquisitions (including BusinessLand in 1991).Elected to not renew two year contract and subsequently founded Elcom.

Mr. Crowell founded and grew this PC products re-marketing company from concept to national presence via eight acquisitions and organic growth.Conceived and manufactured peripheral keyboard for Commodore PET for resale in U.S. and Europe. Led to relationships with multiple producers of peripheral equipment for PCs.Achieved very rapid growth; IPO on Nasdaq in June 1986; subsequently generating over $300 million in revenues within 4 years via 600 personnel operating from 14 sales and 2 distribution centers in U.S. Founded MicroAmerica Distributing in 1979. Acquired by AGS Computers , Inc. (NYSE) in 1982.Raised $80 million for NEECO via three secondary public offerings; two of equity, one convertible debt. ($40MM) round.Negotiated sale to JWP INC. (now EMCOR Group, Inc. NYSE:EME) in 1990 for $100 million in stock.

Mr. Crowell founded this PC products distributor as a subsidiary of NEECO in 1979 to service demand as the PC remarketing and independent dealership channel grew rapidly.MicroAmerica generated very rapid growth from rapidly increased demand for PCs and peripherals products. Negotiated (first-eve)r distribution and OEM agreements with Altos, NEC, Diablo and other companies. Active participant on multiple industry/manufacturer national 'advisor' boards including IBM and Compaq.Expanded nationwide via company distribution centers in the Boston, Los Angeles, and Dallas areas. During high interest rates in early '80's, negotiated and introduced first 'floor planning' for PC dealers.Mr. Crowell negotiated the sale to AGS Computers, Inc. (NYSE) in 1983. AGS was later purchased by NYNEX with Microamerica spun off as publicly-held company. Microamerica was subsequently merged with Softsel to form Merisel.
