These included Strategic Consulting, Information Architecture, Design and Development, and Maintenance and Delivery. Managed a global staff of 95 employees and 5 Managers. As a member of the senior management team, played an integral role in the development and implementation of the division’s strategies and objectives, within this ₤ 8.5 billion global engineering firm. Managed the development and support team for Convero, a proprietary project management and document control system utilized on large capital projects in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors, notably: Three Gorges Dam (Yangtze River, China); 407 Toll Highway (GTA; Ontario); Shanghai/SECCO Petro-chemical Refinery (Jinshan, China); “Chunnel” high-speed train interconnect across the English Channel; JFK and Ottawa Airports.As a practice leader, also provided strategic consulting and oversight to many local and international projects.Increased the resource utilization, efficiency and profitability of the software solutions practice for AMEC’s Technology Group by over 30%, by implementing a standardized methodology; matrix delivery and support organization; and training and performance improvement programs to improve service delivery and solution quality.
